Q & A

What time is worship on Sunday mornings?
Currently, we offer two worship services. The Offering, our blended/contemporary service with our Praise Band is at 9:00a.m. in our Social Hall. Our traditional worship service is at 11:00 a.m. in our Sanctuary; this worship includes our Chancel Choir.

What can I expect on my first visit?
Once you park in our south parking lot or the city garage across the street, you will be greeted by friendly faces. You may stop by our Welcome Center and pick up information and schedule of events for you and your family. Don't miss going to the Chez for coffee and morning treats. If you have children with you, they are welcome to attend worship with you, go to their age appropriate Sunday school class, or to the nursery. If you arrive early enough, we offer adult classes too!

Where are you located?
We are located at the corner of Hitt & Cherry Streets, one block south of Broadway in Columbia, Missouri.

What can I wear?
When you enter a worship service at FPC, youll instantly notice the diversity in what people wear. Wear something in which you can be you. Out of respect for others, please dress in a way that is appropriate for a Sunday morning.

Do you have something for older kids?
Absolutely. If you are in grades 6-8 or 9-12, we have a wonderful Sunday morning experience planned for our youth. We also have Sunday evening programs which include dinner, Bible studies and fun activities. Throughout the year, our youth will do local mission work and during the summer travel across the country for mission projects. They also do stuff just for fun – Big Surf, Six Flags, etc.

What kind of programs do you have for College Students?
Our college group is called The Vine. They meet on Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m.(during the school year) in the Chez Coffeehouse for dinner, discussion and FREE FOOD. They also have several events throughout the year.

Are the volunteers that work with the kids screened?
Yes, according to our Child Protection Policy, all paid staff and volunteers are screened using an application, state background check, and personal meeting with the staff.

When you visit, be sure to stop by our Welcome Center. We want the opportunity to meet you and help you find a place at FPC.
