Alas, the snowstorm two weeks ago postponed our training event with Catholic Charities until March 4. In the meantime, our volunteers are getting some necessary paperwork done and engaging in other types of training. We are:
Completing online volunteer profiles for Catholic Charities,
Completing the online training called "Protecting God's Children," a best-practices program for preventing child sex abuse,
Reviewing, signing, and returning a Driving Policy and a Media Consent Form,
Reading and signing a Code of Pastoral Conduct document, and
Registering for a background check.
Completing these tasks demonstrates our commitment to the future safety and security of people whose safety and security has been put in great jeopardy in their home country.
